Leonardo DiCaprio to produce feature on gorillas

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is slated to produce a movie for Netflix.

The popular American actor has been granted the right to produce a film about gorillas.

The film is based on a 2014 Oscar nod-winning documentary.

British director Orlando von Einsiedel who directed the documentary back in 2014, will be the executive producer in this project.

The doc was about the fight to save mountain gorillas in Congo.

DiCaprio is an environmental activist and was selected as UN representative on climate change in 2014.

The American megastar has highlighted causes raising awareness over global warming and other environmental issues in recent years.
